A big question that many ask is about to get a response. It would be possible to somehow install Cydia without re-Jailbreak your ipod touch? It would seem so. DarkApples who is currently working on a revolutionary new method that would allow applications to install Cydia without having performed the Jailbreak.
Not eye-rolling, this Re – install cydia withour re-jailbreak method is already a reality. The team has in fact claimed to be able to install these applications on your iPhone “Factory Restored”, ie, original and unlocked. Steps to Install Cydia without re Jailbreak ipod touch
Here are steps to re-install cydia without rejailbreak your ipod touch:
Step 1:
Make sure Cydia is completely removed before you try and reinstall it, type into terminal
su
alpine (or whatever your password is)
and then
apt-get remove cydia
Step 2.
Get the latest copy of Cydia from Saurik’s Site.
Step 3.
SSH the files over to your iPhone/iPod Touch /var/stash using your favourite SSH program.
Step 4.
Open Terminal on your iPhone and type
dpkg -i essentials cydia
then respring using SBSettings or Terminal, also make sure you are in the var/stash directory by typing ‘cd var/stash’ in the terminal
killall springboard
Done and You will now have cydia re-installed without re jailbreak your ipod touch.
